Summary

Drs. Sara Dong & Arthur Jackson welcome you to the first "Febrile Digest"! These digest episodes will be short and sweet shows (<30 minutes) that will serve as a space for us to feature new papers from the literature, upcoming ID items, and/or interviews! These will be interspersed with our regular case-based episodes that come out every two weeks.

Dr. Arthur Jackson

Arthur is a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine based in Cork, Ireland. He is part of the general internal medicine service, provides oversight to the Antimicrobial Stewardship committee, and is the clinical lead for the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy program. He provides consultation service for inpatients with respect to general ID, antimicrobial management, HIV, and other diseases. He graduated with a medical degree from Trinity College in Dublin in 2001. His specialist training included two years in Malawi, running clinical trials in the area of cryptococcal meningitis. He followed that with a year of clinical fellowship at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

These will be smaller mini-episodes (always <30 minutes) that will be interspersed in between our ongoing case-based episodes!  These short episodes will feature various topics and styles, such as literature round-ups, interesting facts/clinical questions, or interviews that don’t quite fit into our usual format.  Please feel free to send recommendations and ideas for these episodes!
